Voting Membership Levels

 

Platinum Club Member $500.00 Annual Dues
Platinum members provide financial support to Farm Bureau at the highest level. These members are organized for agricultural purposes; or own land that is enrolled in Massachusetts General Laws Chapters 61, 61A and/or 61B and are actively engaged in agriculture, aquaculture, stables, landscaping, floriculture or forestry, including lessors and landlords who receive rent, either in-kind or cash, or all or part of the product raised or grown on the leased or rented premises, or are individuals who are owners, members, beneficiaries, or current or surviving spouses of such owners of such land. Platinum members receive recognition in MFBF’s annual meeting program. At this level, the farmer or a representative of the farm has voting privileges with MFBF.

 

Gold Club Member $350.00 Annual Dues
Gold members are actively engaged in the business of agricultural production or service as described in the county Farm Bureau and/or MFBF bylaws. Gold members are organized for agricultural purposes; or either own land enrolled in Massachusetts General Laws Chapters 61, 61A and 61B and are actively engaged in agriculture, aquaculture, stables, landscaping, floriculture or forestry, including lessors and landlords who receive rent, either in kind or cash, or all or part of the product raised or grown on the leased or rented premises, or are individuals who are owners, members, beneficiaries, or current or surviving spouses of such owners of such land. Gold members receive recognition in MFBF’s annual meeting program. The farmer or the representative of the farm has voting privileges with MFBF.

 

Farmer Member $225.00 Annual Dues
Farmer members are organized for agricultural purposes; or either own land enrolled in Massachusetts General Laws Chapters 61, 61A and 61B and are actively engaged in agriculture, aquaculture, stables, landscaping, floriculture or forestry, including lessors and landlords who receive rent, either in kind or cash, or all or part of the product raised or grown on the leased or rented premises, or are individuals who are owners, members, beneficiaries, or current or surviving spouses of such owners of such land.  The farmer or the representative of the farm has voting privileges with the organization.

 

Non-Voting Members

 

Allied Business  $225.00 Annual Dues
A business member that offers products or services that are essential to agriculture. This is a non-voting membership that includes a complimentary listing in MFBF’s online and print Allied Business directories.

 

Advocate Membership - Individual $70.00 or Family $100.00 Annual Dues
An advocate member is a non-farmer who does not receive agricultural income. They join MFBF as an advocate member to support agriculture. An advocate may participate in the same programs as a regular member (with exception of voting privileges). Advocate members are persons, partnerships, associations, unincorporated associations or corporations interested in agriculture who or which do not otherwise qualify as “farmer members.”

 

Student Membership (for members 16-25) $25.00 Annual Dues *a valid student ID required
Full-time students between the ages of sixteen (16) and twenty-five (25) attending educational institutions and who are interested in agriculture may become “student members” upon full payment of the annual dues. Student members are recognized for debate and information, but are not entitled to vote. Student members are eligible for participation in all MFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers committee activities and events. Proof of student status is required.
